T-Systems Singapore and DT Global Business Solutions Singapore meet our corporate environment sustainability goals by purchasing Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) for the electricity we consume in our office space. RECs are bought as carbon credits to offset our use of electricity coming from non-renewable sources . We purchased a total of 85 RECs for the year 2021.

We actively share our initiatives in corporate social responsibility such as International Women’s Day, multi-racial harmony festivals, and foodbank donation on our corporate social media platform – LinkedIn. We also encourage online participation in LinkedIn for hot topics ranging from digital business transformation to best new work practices. To date, we have more than 10 000 followers.

Wellness activities for employees

A healthy work environment is a key contributor to a positive workplace. T-Systems Singapore and DT Global Business Solutions Singapore constantly make efforts to raise employees’ awareness of health-related issues. Our company also promotes physical activities and sport to ensure that employees are able to work in a healthy workplace ecosystem. At the beginning of 2021, the company announced the opening of our in-house gym facilities with the aim of encouraging colleagues to stay fit and healthy. As the year progressed, we rolled out physical activities such as Virtual Workout Sessions (VWS), “Team Walkathon Challenge” and “Calm Breathe Together” Sessions, which focus on mental healthcare to help employees manage stress/anxiety and achieve better focus at work.

In line with our Guiding Principle – “stay curious and grow,” we rolled out the ApriLearning Fest for all our employees. This event seeks to promote a learning ecosystem that supports knowledge seeking, sharing, and creation. We launched LEX (Learning from Experts) – Go Singapore to complement training provided for our people on how to achieve sustainable performance in a hybrid work environment and make the best out of our digital learning offerings. This is an employee network where colleagues can share their expertise and knowledge quickly and easily. A few sessions have been extended to colleagues in China, Hong Kong, and Indonesia. We also organized a leadership talk series where our Executive Management Team enthusiastically shared their personal thoughts and insights on keeping the business going. This was particularly important in the global pandemic crisis. They also shared views on how to emerge stronger as a Team.

In line with the 2021 Living Culture Day theme – #passionforfuture, we encourage our passion for innovation and growth with fun activities such as the homemade signaTure food competition and WEGROW workshops on fruitful performance and development dialogs.

In 2022, we will continue our holistic employee-centric activities to support an engaged, motivated and healthy workforce.

Corporate responsibility initiative

T-Systems Singapore and DT Global Business Solutions Singapore seeks to follow its motto of “Life is sharing” by constantly looking for channels in the quest to develop new social initiatives for giving something back to the community. We have set up a T-Care zone in our corporate Facebook to encourage employees to recycle and reuse items in good condition and reduce wastage. Employees also generously donated food items to Foodbank Singapore – an established food distributor that tackles food insecurity by sourcing food and redistributing it to vulnerable households and not-for-profit organizations.

T-Systems Singapore contributes to public-health risk management and achieved 100 percent COVID-19 vaccination status. The two companies participate in the weekly COVID-19 Antigen Rapid Test regime for returning to the office and uphold other safety management measures in accordance with government standards in order to minimize the risks of virus transmission in the workplace.

Workplace safety and health capabilities

bizSAFE is a program designed to help companies build workplace safety and health (WSH) capabilities. At the end of September 2020, we achieved bizSAFE Level 3 status, which is valid until  28 September 2023. This upholds strong local standards and allows T-Systems Singapore to participate in local RFPs.
