Digital learning has been a well-established part of training and development at Deutsche Telekom for many years. In 2021, 83 percent of courses bookable Group-wide were available digitally. Various different learning formats and systems have supported this trend toward more digital learning, such as:
The Percipio learning platform could be called “the Netflix of learning”. It offers thousands of online courses, videos, and e-books. Percipio can also be used via an app.
Coursera is one of the world’s biggest suppliers of online courses at university level. The courses on issues such as big data, cyber security, the cloud, and artificial intelligence are provided by a network of around 200 universities.
In 2021, we hosted the second Group-wide digital learning day for all employees. Approximately 5 000 employees from 30 countries took part in over 40 digital events.
"You and Me UNITED"
All digital learning offerings are provided through a central page on our in-house social network “You and Me UNITED” (YAM UNITED). Among other things, anyone who would like to share their expertise can offer a 30- to 60-minute-long “Learning from Experts” (LEX) session on the network, thus making it available to all colleagues worldwide.
The German-language digital learning provider “Bildungsinnovator” (education innovator) offers a range of options including training modules on self-competence, leadership, digitalization, and health and vitality.
