Last March, Cisco Spain launched the Green & Blue Hackathon, the largest technology event on sustainability at national level. The objective was to actively contribute to the search for solutions to global sustainability problems with a focus on the new European Funds. During the presentation of the event, the Minister of Industry, Trade and Tourism, explained the importance of this type of initiative and encouraged the participants to seek out solutions.
During the active period for the initiative, all the participating teams/partners took part in conversations with a variety of companies. A number of different proposals were presented and some are now being implemented in the participating companies.
In parallel with the sessions, each team had to prepare a theoretical or practical exercise with at least one environmental initiative and then defend it during the time allotted to the participants.
