One of the four pillars of Deutsche Telekom’s integrated climate strategy is increasing the share of sustainable products in our product portfolio. A product can be classified as part of the company’s “sustainable product portfolio” if it most likely or definitely does not involve risks and offers at least one sustainability advantage.
The assessment of the sustainability portfolio and associated documentation of evidence was completed in Q1 2019. The results showed that 42 percent of our total revenue (2018 fiscal year excluding USA) was generated with sustainability-related products and services.
The T-Systems product portfolio is constantly updated, as was also the case in 2018. Compared to 2017 there were several adjustments to the portfolio that were taken into account in examining the share of sustained revenue. In total, the scope of product and service categories examined was extended from 22 to 29.
