In 2010 the European Commission passed a digital agenda as part of its Europe 2020 strategy. The goal of the agenda is to establish conditions that promote economic growth in Europe. This agenda specifies that all Europeans will be able to surf online at speeds of at least 30 Mbit/s by the year 2020. Connections enabling at least 100 Mbit/s should be available to half of all European households by that year. We support the Commission's endeavor in helping speed up the installation and expansion process.
