Transparency requirements at EU level

Through the EU regulation, certain organizations will be required to disclose the above-mentioned contributions to EU environmental targets. Initially, the transparency requirements will apply to all those European companies that are already required to report non-financially under the EU CSR Directive. They will then additionally have to disclose what percentage of their key financial figures - such as sales, capital expenditure (capex) or operating costs (opex) - meet the taxonomy criteria ("taxonomy alignment"). Financial institutions must apply the classification system to their portfolios and report on them in accordance with the "Taxonomy Alignment"].
