Awards for our commitment to digital inclusion

Awards for Teachtoday
In 2022, the Teachtoday initiative won two prizes at the Comenius EduMedia Awards, which recognize digital educational media. An international jury of scientists, specialists, and education practitioners examined over 200 different educational media. The Teachtoday portal and the SCROLLER media magazine for kids won the panel over with their outstanding educational and media quality and won prizes in the categories “IT, communication, and media education” and “General multimedia products.”

Award for DIGITAL@School
The “DIGITAL@School” volunteer initiative was awarded the special prize in the category “Corporate commitment” by the IT Executive Club at the ITEC Cares Award 2022. The award recognizes outstanding commitment in the area of digital education.

Awards for our campaign “#No hate speech”
With our campaign “#No hate speech,” we are working to ensure that people have nothing to worry about as they navigate cyberspace. Via channels such as video and radio spots, workshops and podcasts, we are calling attention to hate speech, social media outrage and cyberbullying, and encouraging people to show "civil courage online" and stand up against such negative trends. We received several awards for this campaign:

The second season of our podcast “Digital Crime – When words become weapons” (“Digital Crime – Wenn Worte zur Waffe werden”) won the Audio Prize 2022 from the Media Authority of North Rhine-Westphalia in the category “Respectful interaction on the internet” (“Respektvoller Umgang im Netz”). The judging panel praised the podcast’s excellent production values, outstanding research, and differentiated view on the topic of online hate.

Epica Award 2022: Silver
In 2022, the song “The choir against hate speech” from our “No hate speech” campaign won an Epica Award. The song won a silver trophy in the category “Best use of music.”
