The Sustainability Committee organizes campaigns and initiatives to raise the awareness of individuals about issues such as the correct disposal of medicines, an Environment Campaign (T-Convido Online Session with the NGO Ecopatas on recycling plastic caps), a Quiz to test employees’ knowledge about sustainability, a T-Convido Online Session with customer Hewlett Packard to talk about sustainability initiatives, disposal of 440 kilograms of obsolete electronics and the collection of used school supplies (textbooks, magazines, comic books, used notebooks, handouts, pencils, pens, erasers).

Disposal of Recyclable Materials – Pampas Site

T-Systems do Brasil started disposal of recyclable materials from the Pampas Site directly to city hall instead of a private company, generating savings of BRL 30 000 annually, which can be invested in other ESG img initiatives.

Campaign: Correct Disposal of Medicines

T-Systems do Brasil sustainability team promoted an online campaign to raise awareness and foster the correct disposal of expired or unused medicines, where the benefits to the environment were explained and 10 employees were awarded a sustainable gift. The campaign aimed to reinforce the fact that correct disposal of medicines avoids contaminating water and soil with toxic chemical materials. 

Environment Week

T-Systems do Brasil organized a week of awareness about the Environment, with initiatives such as an online session with the NGO Ecopatas, in which the company explained the benefits of removing tons of plastic from the environment and using the income collected from the sale of these materials to finance the neutering of abandoned animals. A Sustainability Quiz was also organized with awards to five employees and another online session with customer Hewlett Packard to learn about the sustainable initiatives undertaken by the company in the Social, Economic and Environmental spheres.

Collection of Obsolete Electronic Equipment

In collaboration with our customer Hewlett Packard, we collected 440 kg of obsolete electronic equipment from the sites in Sao Paulo and Blumenau. We exchanged them for an equivalent amount of food, which was donated to nonprofit organizations to be distributed to hundreds of families in need.

Collection of Used Notebooks, Books and Toys for Donation

T-Green and Diversity teams will promote a campaign to collect used notebooks, books and toys on the Pampas and Quatá sites between December 2022 and January 2023 – all items collected will be donated to NGOs that reuse school supplies and direct them to children in need.

Implementation of Vertiv EC Fan Technology

Implementation of four fans with Vertiv EC Fan technology in one of the data halls of the datacenter (these fans work in a modular way, which means they adjust their speeds based on changes in the environment). Another six fans will be installed by 2023, totaling ten Fans, bringing about a 50 percent reduction in energy consumption at the datacenter.
